For several years I have had a wok. My kids got together and just knew I needed a wok. They ‘tapped’ into their dad and voila I have a wok!  Thinking a wok is meant for Chinese cooking I have used it a few times but not very often. Of late I am using it more and more. Who knew? It is really perfect for frying though I do very, very, very, little of that. It works as a perfect saute pan too!  Yes it is ideal for Chinese cooking, but just as ideal for other types of cooking. My wok is clad with cast iron, has great handles for pouring or stirring, and a large glass lid.I love it for a quick stir-fry of vegetables. I  recently made chicken thighs in it that were perfectly browned without a great deal of oil.  The cast iron radiates the heat efficiently and evenly. Electric woks are available, but mine sits on the stove and works great.Try a wok. You may be surprised at how quickly you can get a meal put together with a wok!
